Federal Interagency Wilderness Steering Committee and Wilderness Policy Council

Collectively, the Wilderness Steering Committee (WSC) and Wilderness Policy Council (WPC) oversee management of the National Wilderness Preservation System, the Arthur Carhart National Wilderness Training Center and Aldo Leopold Wilderness Research Institute and assist in oversight of the Wilderness.net project. Both groups include representatives from each of the wilderness management agencies and the USGS. The WSC reports to the WPC.
